President's message...

Dear members of the community,

Our Koota Brahmins are a Brahmin community of the most noble Shrauta Smarta order, worshipping Sri Guru Narasimha Devaram in Saligrama, Udupi district. With the good intention that our Koota society should be organized and united and that we should uplift our economically backward society, the elders of our society met in 1952 to deliberate comprehensively and then in 1954 the organization was registered with the name Koota Maha Pahat.
I am proud to say that initially, Saligrama Mangalapadi, Bangalore Madras and our Mangalore branch were established. In the beginning, Keertishesh Kota Vasudeva Karanth took the helm of our branch and made an effort to bring everyone together. At that time, when we did not have our own building, the branch used to meet and discuss at places like Chakrapani Temple, Mangala Devi Temple etc.
Later, the land donated by Mrs. Vijayalakshmi was located near the Pandeshwara Mahalingeshwara temple and with the cooperation of donors, it was possible to have its own building and all the activities were carried out there. I pay my respects to all the immediate past presidents behind this great achievement, namely Sri Keshav Karanth, Sri Kannur Ramachandra Rao, Sri P. S. Madhyastha, Sri Bhaskara Navad, Seshagiri Rao, Airya Chandrashekar Mayya. During my current presidency (2024-27), I have the ambition to continue on the path laid down by my predecessors and further implement new ideas in line with the current educational standards and take the organization to greater heights.
Already on Guru Purnima day, we have visited the homes of senior priests of our area and paid homage to them. On Teachers' Day, we have honored senior teachers Dr. Leela Upadhyay, Smt. Anuradha Rao, Dr. Ch. Na. Shankara Rao and Dr. Saraswati S Rao. Under our special program, we have honored seniors who have achieved in various fields, such as Erumbu Narayana Karanth from the business sector, Sri Nityananda Rao from the literature sector, K Prakash Bastri from the audit sector, Sri Jagadeesha Rao from the law sector, and Pattumudi Suryanarayana Rao from the hotel industry, with the title of Koota Samajada Kanmani.
We have meaningfully organized the Upakarma program, and at the request of the Central Committee, we have organized an accounting workshop on how affiliate organizations should keep accounts.
We have conducted the Sri Guru Narasimha Homa with religious rituals after taking the initiation of Narasimha Stotra. On this occasion, the young talent Kumari Aisiri Aital, who has made special achievements, was honored with the Bala Kanmani Puraskar. Vasant Veda Patha Shibir was organized in our Sabha Bhavan like every year this year too.
Apart from that, our organization has donated a large amount to the Gayatri Sangam Gayatri Mahayagna program organized by the All Karnataka Brahmin Mahasabha, and all our members have responded enthusiastically and made it a success.
It is commendable that our members successfully participated in the protest march organized by the All Karnataka Brahmin Mahasabha to condemn the removal of Janavara from the list of students from our community who appeared for the NEET exam...
Requesting the cooperation of all social partners in the coming days.. If we protect society, society will protect us, if we protect language, language will protect us, if we protect the country, the country will protect us, if we protect culture, culture will protect us, if we protect nature, nature will protect us, if we protect the organization, the organization will protect us….
May Lord Sri Guru Narasimha bless everyone..
