The monthly magazine “Kootavani” was started in October 2006 – as per the decision of the Executive Committee of the Koota Maha Paataan – Mangalore branch.

The monthly magazine “Kootavani” publishes reports on the activities of our affiliated and central organizations. In addition, it also contains articles related to topical, religious and spiritual topics. 

The tenth anniversary special issue of “Kootavani” was launched in October 2016, on the occasion of its tenth anniversary. “Kootavani” has been published bimonthly since October 2023. 

In the initial years, Shri P.N. Mayya was the Chief Editor. After his demise, who was renowned in the field of Kannada language and education, Shri Polali Nityananda Karanth took over “Kootavani” as the Chief Editor. He is well known in the field of Yakshagana as a preacher, a tamil artist and a spiritual thinker. Since April 2023, Shri Addur Krishna Rao has been the Chief Editor of “Kootavani”. A retired bank officer, he is known as a writer and the leader of many movements.
